Community Partnerships

Nurturing partnerships with the community is essential in creating useful programs and conducting relevant and applicable research. We have listed a few of the many community partners our members collaborate with.

We implemented the Stay Connected LA Campaign in collaboration with Clinicas Monsenor Oscar A. Romero, Promesas at Proyecto Pastoral, and Vision y Compromiso, where local artists use art to encourage COVID-19 safe practices. 

Barrio Action Network

Barrio Action Network works to empower at-risk young children, youth, and their families to lead socially rewarding lives with academic success.

Urban 360

Urban 360 seeks to assist those that are struggling in their personal and education life. They provide scholarships, mentorships, school supplies, and support services in hopes to empower members of local inner city communities towards higher education. 

Sunrise Community Counseling Center

The mission of Sunrise Community Counseling Center is to provide culturally sensitive counseling for mental health and substance abuse for the Los Angeles Community

Plaza de la Raza

Plaza de la Raza is a Cultural Center for Arts and Education that serves the Eastside neighborhoods on Los Angeles. It offers affordable after-school art programs and free cultural programs for people of all ages.

Mariachi Plaza

The Mariachi Plaza is located on the corner of 1st St. and Boyle Ave. in Boyle Heights and serves as gathering site for Mariachi Musicians. Musicians are available for hire seven days a week. This site keeps the beauty and tradition of Mexican mariachi music alive.

Tierra Blanca Art Center

The Tierra Blanca Arts Center brings music, dance, and theater to the greater Los Angeles area. TBAC uses these arts to instill unity and produce harmony amongst multicultural communities. 

Hollenbeck Pals

Hollenbeck PALS partners with law enforcement to nurture young people to become responsible productive citizens by offering a variety of programs such as sports, financial literacy, character building, and educational programs.

Boys and Girls Club

The Boys and Girls Club aims to increase young people’s access to experiences and opportunities that enable them to live their full potential.

Hillside Village Mart

The Hillside Village Mart offers a space to community groups and residents. 

Hillside Village Property Owners Association

The Hillside Village Property Owners Association is a group of active community members that volunteer to improve the general welfare of Hillside Village.

Los Angeles City Attorney Office

The Los Angeles City Attorney shapes the future of our city by fighting to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods.

Visión y Compromiso 

Visión y Compromiso (VyC) is dedicated to improving the health of underrepresented communities through the training of health promoters and community health workers.

Central City Neighborhood Partners

Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) is a non-profit collaborative with over 20 agencies working together to create system changes that will benefit low-income families and communities. 

National Health Foundation

National Health Foundation is committed to improving community health. NHF addresses the root causes of health disparities through community partnership work. 

Clinica Msr. Oscar A. Romero

The clinic aims to provide culturally sensitive health care and services to the Los Angeles community, regardless of their ability to pay.
